The City and County of Denver’s APEX training program is designed exclusively for employees working in office, support, clerical, secretarial, administrative and executive assistant positions (occupational group C). The 12-month structured training program’s curriculum is based on identified and validated competencies required for successful performance in this career path. APEX delivers instruction and application through a variety of adult learning methods including classroom activities, project team work, self study, coaching and sharing.
The APEX program year begins and ends with completion of various assessments to identify each participant’s skill levels, personality differences, interests, strengths, and development opportunities.
Class size is limited and candidates must apply to the program Selection Committee by completing and submitting the required application documentation. APEX program application information can be downloaded from the links to the left.
The 2009 APEX program fee of $350 covers all assessments, classroom instruction and activities, coaching, networking, mentoring and training materials. Financial arrangements are available for those individuals whose only barrier is the cost of the program. Please contact one of the program administrators for more information.
To be considered for selection, all original, signed and completed applications, letters and other required documentation must be received by Career Service Authority, APEX Program Manager no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009.
