We think it is important to recognize and celebrate the vital role you play in your organization as an Administrative Professional – which is why a truly special event has been planned for you on Administrative Professional’s Day – April 26th.
This year’s Administrative Professional Conference has been planned and designed by a team of Administrative Professionals from the International Association of Administrative Professionals® (IAAP®) and the City and County of Denver. Together, it is our pleasure to extend an invitation to you to join us for the 3rd annual conference on Wednesday, April 26th at the Colorado Convention Center from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This year’s theme, “Creating Excellence in the Workplace” is focused on anyone providing office support and administrative services.
The collaborative partnership between the Colorado-Wyoming-Montana Division of The International Association of Administrative Professionals® (IAAP®) and the Career Service Authority’s Training and Organization Development Division of the City and County of Denver has designed this opportunity exclusively for you and will bring to you, via live satellite broadcast, Stephen Covey, highly acclaimed author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, and Jackie Frieberg, co-author of GUTS! Companies that Blow the Doors Off Business-as-Usual and the award-winning, national best-seller, NUTS! Southwest Airlines’ Crazy Recipe for Business and Personal Success. IAAP’s International President, Kay E. Enlow, CPS/CAP will speak to the State of the Profession.
The opening keynote address surrounding the subject of “Turning Jobs Into Careers” will be delivered by Sandra P. Chandler CPS/CAP, IAAP® International President-Elect. Dr. Joseph Michelli, Psychologist and professional international speaker will close this year’s conference with and humorous perspective of the question “Is there life after stress? Finding joy in insane times.”
Break-out sessions will be repeated during the morning and afternoon sessions of the conference and will provide tips and techniques. Click on Breakout session for detailed information.
And, to complete the day, 9news Anchor, Adele Arakawa will be on hand to moderate a panel discussion with some of the city’s top leadership. Due to very limited time constraints open questions from the audience will not be feasible; however, panel questions have been formulated by a peer focus group that will drive the panel to discuss pertinent and poignant issues of our work environment. These questions will be answered in the time allotted for the panel discussion
