The Democratic National Convention will be held in Denver from August 25 – 28, 2008. Given the international significance and the large-scale nature of this event, permits and licenses that involve fixed-space requirements in the downtown area from August 15 – 31, 2008, must go through a special process. Peddlers, merchant guards and taxi drivers do not involve fixed spaces, and thus need not go through that special process.
