Councilwoman Robin Kniech, At-Large
Thank you for visiting my website. As one of your two At-Large City Councilmembers, it is my job to represent the entire City and County of Denver. Responding to your inquiries and concerns is one of my top priorities. It is also my responsibility to take the perspective of what is best for the city overall, and to think both about the residents in each area of the city and beyond those boundaries. I sought to become your At-Large Councilwoman because of my passion for and experience with the bigger picture forces impacting Denver, ranging from transit and redevelopment to keeping families of all incomes in the city and sustainability.
Denver is a world-class city, and we need to work to maintain and expand our economy to create the middle-income jobs that are needed during these challenging times. At the same time, we are a diverse city with unique character and history all our own. My background and experience provide me with a strong foundation to balance these interests.
There are several principles that guide our work in my At-Large office:
Representation – ensuring that all residents, business-owners and others in Denver have access to the information they need, opportunities to be heard, and a prompt response, and reaching out to under-represented communities who may not typically engage with local government.
Partnership – working with my Council colleagues, the Mayor, city staff, community members and stakeholder organizations to achieve the best outcomes on legislation and special projects.
Leadership – anticipating opportunities and challenges and working proactively to benefit Denver and the broader region.
We will be putting these principles into action in our day to day work on items coming before the Council, and on our priority initiatives.
