Top Headlines Tuesday, October 07, 2008 | 42 ° Clear   CITY COUNCIL HOLDS FIRM TO AMEND BUDGET Special Session Called to Override Mayoral Veto   Denver City Council held firm to its position Friday and voted to override Mayor Hickenlooper’s veto of an amendment to the 2008 City Budget on employee pay. Announcements Non-Profits Can Raise Cash as Poll Workers In an innovative effort to meet the need for Election Day poll workers, nonprofit organizations can organize their volunteers to work the polls and donate their fees as a fund-raiser for the organization.
