We issue Contractor Licenses and Certificates, to both individuals and companies who perform work within Denver that requires a Building permit or Right-of-Way permit.
Effective August 4, 2008 Certificate fees for Journeyman and Operators are $40.00 and Certificate fees for Supervisors are $60.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to “Manager of Finance”.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW AND EXISTING CONTRACTOR LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Colorado Revised Statute requires that in addition to meeting all other application or renewal requirements individuals applying for City issued sole proprietor licenses using a personal or trade name and/or individuals applying for Certificates to provide their name, address, and social security number. Corporations, Partnerships and LLC’s are not subject to these additional applicant requirements.

Forms of Secure and Verifiable Identification as defined by Colorado Revised Statute are:

Current Colorado Driver License, current Colorado Driver Permit or current Colorado Identification Card expired one year or less. (Temporary paper license with valid Colorado Driver’s License, Colorado Drivers Permit, or Colorado Identification Card, expired one year or less is acceptable.)
If you elect to mail your certificate application, license renewal or certificate renewal with accompanying fees and necessary documents THE AFFIDAVIT OF LAWFUL PRESENCE AND COPIES OF THE SECURE AND VERIFIABLE IDENTIFICATION MUST BE NOTARIZED OR THESE DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
If the APPLICANT, LICENSE HOLDER, OR CERTIFICATE HOLDER personally submits their certificate application, license renewal or certificate renewal at our office, present their original secure and verifiable Identification and sign the Affidavit in person, notarized copies of these documents will not be required. Application forms will not be faxed.
