The Municipal Operations Section provides general legal advice to virtually every department of the City, as well as to all elected officials. The lawyers in this section work in a multitude of legal disciplines including:
- land use regulations;
- real estate and development transactions;
- taxation;
- bankruptcy;
- construction law;
- environmental regulations;
- general transactional law; and
- municipal law.
In addition to these duties, the section represents the city in all commercial litigation in federal or state courts, as well as in administrative and regulatory hearings.
