Campaign finance for Denver's municipal candidates is governed by Denver Revised Municipal Statutes and by Clerk and Recorder Rules. Find information here for Denver municipal candidates, issue campaigns, elected officials and other political committees:

Effective July 11, 2011, municipal campaign finance administration transferred from the City Clerk Division to the Elections Division.

Direct all campaign finance paperwork and inquiries to the Elections Division, located at 200 West 14th Avenue, Denver (SW corner, 14th and Bannock).

Denver School Board Campaign Finance

Campaign finance reporting for school board candidates and for special district candidates transferred to the Colorado Secretary of State's office effective January 1, 2010.

School board and special district members and candidates must report campaign finance activity through the Secretary of State's online reporting system.

2012 Campaign Finance Report Filing

  • For Denver campaign committees, if you have filed your annual/year-end report that was due on January 31, you have fulfilled your obligation for the year.
  • If, however, there is either a special election or a Denver ballot issue in 2012, and your committee will be active, a 2012 Campaign Finance Filing Deadlines calendar will be issued and will be posted here.
