The Office of the Clerk and Recorder maintains records for marriage license/certificates from 1902 through the present.
Records may be accessible only to individuals named on the records or those who can provide proof of relationship. Marriage records can be researched and photocopied, including certified copies for official purposes.
A copy can be requested over the counter at the Clerk and Recorder office or a request can be made by mail by submitting a marriage record request form. Marriage records from 1988 to present may be obtained at the Marriage License desk. Older records may be requested at the Records desk.

- Marriage license applications (not the marriage license/certificate itself) from 1902 through 2003 may be researched through the Denver Public Library.
- Marriage records older than 1902 may be obtained from the Colorado Office of Vital Statistics. This office also maintains birth, divorce and death records.
