Campaign Finance Regulations

In addition to gaining access to the ballot, there are periodic financial reports that all campaigns must file with the city.

Campaign finance requirements are administered by the City Clerk, a separate division within the Office of Clerk and Recorder. The City Clerk's office is located located at 201 W. Colfax Ave., Suite 201. Your Denver campaign finance reports become part of the public record and will be published on the City Clerk website.

Colorado Regulations

Updated Campaign Finance Ordinance

In 2009, the Denver City Council passed an ordinance updating Elections and Campaign Finance provisions.

Candidates and committees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these changes.

Campaign finance records and reports are kept by the City Clerk office, a division of the Office of the Clerk and Recorder. The City Clerk website has campaign finance forms, regulations and reports from the current and prior years.
