Registered Neighborhood Organization (RNO) Comments
Learn more about Registered Neighborhood Organizations

RNOs are notified of pending amendments affecting areas located inside or within 200 feet of their established boundaries.  For official map amendments, RNOs receive informational notice upon receipt of a revised rezoning application and receive public hearing notice prior to Planning Board and City Council public hearings.  For text amendments, RNOs receive public hearing notice prior to City Council public hearings.  RNOs are encouraged to present their organizational positions for consideration in the decision-making process. RNOs should hold a meeting to discuss the rezoning application, and a vote should be taken to express the organization's position (DRMC § 12-96).  Following this vote, the registered contact person should complete the RNO Position Statement form to report the results of the vote, and email the form to RNOresponses@denvergov.org.  The positions of the RNOs will be included with public hearing staff reports.
